| The Quoddy Tides Advertising
The Quoddy Tides has a paid circulation of 4,750, the largest for any newspaper published in Washington County, Maine. The newspaper is published the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month. The advertising deadline is the Monday previous to the Friday.
The classified ad rate is $2.00 for 10 words or fewer; $4.00 for 11 to 20 words, and 10 cents for each additional word. Classified ads must be paid for in advance unless you have a regular advertising account.
The display ad rate is $6.00 per column inch. Special rates are: full page, $330; half page, $165; quarter page, $82.50; and eighth page, $41.25. For advertisers who commit in advance to run their ads between 4 and 24 consecutive issues, or at least 8 issues per year, a 5% discount is given. For those who commit in advance to run their ads for 25 or more issues consecutively, a 10% discount is given. For photographs in ads, the first one is free; there is a $5 fee per photo for each additional one. Spot color is available on request.
Camera-ready ads are acceptable and should be e-mailed as a pdf. Column widths are: 1 column, 2 3/8"; 2 columns, 4 7/8"; 3 columns, 7 3/8"; 4 columns, 10". The depth for a full column is 14 7/8".
